Backend Engineer
Build and maintain backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure supporting core product functionality.
About the role
You’ll work on backend systems that power the product. This includes APIs, data handling, and integrations. The focus is on reliability, performance, and clear architecture.
What you’ll do
– Build and maintain APIs and backend services
– Work with databases and data models
– Improve system performance and reliability
– Integrate third-party services
– Collaborate with product and frontend teams
What we’re looking for
– 3+ years of backend development experience
– Experience with modern backend frameworks
– Understanding of databases and system design
– Ability to write clean, maintainable code
– Comfortable working remotely
Nice to have
– Experience with cloud infrastructure
– Familiarity with DevOps practices
– Experience building scalable systems
How we work
We’re a remote-first team across Europe and the US. Work is mostly async, with a few regular syncs. Engineers are expected to take ownership of their systems and make independent decisions.
